Free bus travel

A concessionary bus pass is available to eligible older and disabled people, for free travel on buses on local buses anwyere in England during off-peak hours (Monday-Friday: 9:30am - 11:00pm: Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays; all day)

Travel vouchers

These are availalbe for those who cannot access the benefit of free travel on conventional bus routes but who would qualify for a Concessionary Bus Pass or who are severly disabled. They can be used on community transport, taxis and private hire vehicles. The vouchers are personalised with a print of your image in £1 denominations. They are available from Mid Suffolk District Council to the value of £50 (2012) but increasing to £100 in April 2013. They are automatically updated each year for 1st April.
