High Suffolk Community Bus Cancellation of services
During the winter it is almost inevitable that there will be days when bad weather makes it unsafe, or impossible, to run the bus. At other times, last minutes cancelations may be necessary due to mechanical problems, etc.
I try to maintain a list of regular passengers, and to phone them when we have to cancel. However, during snow and ice conditions, several days may be involved and I do not want to have to keep ringing up the same people each time - that will be maddening both to them and to me !!
During those conditions, when it seems likely that a service might be cancelled, I am going to leave it to individual passengers who wish to use the service, to contact me to check if the service is running. My phone number is 01728 627181 - the best time would be the evening before the service is due to go. I have an ansaphone facility - just leave your name and phone number and I will get back to you.
For cancellations due to reasons other than bad weather, I will continue to try to phone likely passengers. If you have not already given me your name and phone number, please ask the driver for a form ( the forms are in a file in the drivers' door ). Please return it to him/her at the end of the journey - it will then find its way to me.
A new dial a ride bus service is now operating in Worlingworth and the surrounding area. You can ring to arrange transport to neighbouring villages and to and from the towns of Framlingham, Debenham, Eye and Halesworth. The service runs between 7.00am and 7.00pm Monday to Saturday. Any one can use the service, Conessionary bus passes are accepted. For more details, click here.
