Freedom of Information and our Publication scheme
Under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act it is the duty of every public authority to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. This sets out what information is held by that authority, how this information can be obtained by members of the public and any charges associated with providing that information. Publication schemes facilitate the proactive release of information and play a crucial role in supporting and providing greater openness and transparency across the public sector.
At its February 2012 meeting, Worlingworth Parish Council reviewed its level of compliance with the Act and agreed its publication scheme. This sets out what information we hold, how this can be accessed and what charges, if any, will be made for the release of documents.
