Southolt celebrates in style.

Southolt celebrated over the jubilee weekend with its own flag pole a beacon lighting on the Thursday evening along with hundreds across the country followed by a service of reflection and support for her majesties service to the country on Friday attended by both village residents and friends of Southolt and a lunch on the Sunday.

 Sunday lunch.

After nervously watching the weather forecasts forecasting storms and rain the celebration lunch was great l success with over 60 attendees, again Southolt residents, extended family and friends all welcomed.

A superb spread of home cooked food was appreciated by all as was the wine and champagne toast to her majesty with what must have been one of the best jubilee cakes in Suffolk.

The organisers wish to thank everyone who contributed to both the organisation, the fabulous food provided and again the support for our small village as the weekend was funded by generous donations.
