St Mary’s Church Worlingworth would love to see you at this exhibition which was muted after a conversation in the village about wedding dress languishing in lofts for years and how it would be great for them to have another outing.
There will be dresses from the 1930’s onwards which now form an interesting historical record and also reflect how fashions come and go.
Who remembers using parachute silk? Who had a dress inspired by Lady Di? Did anyone dye their dress after their ‘Big Day’?
Over the 2 day event there will be 40 dresses (maybe more if we can squeeze them in!) for you to have a look at and perhaps have a trip down Memory Lane.
Whilst browsing you may like to enjoy tea & cake, take part in a wedding themed quiz, Guess the Weight of the Cake or the Raffle.
Light lunches will be available between 12 noon - 2pm.
Funds raised will go towards the upkeep of our lovely church.
Toilet facilities at St Mary’s cottage.
