The attractive market town of Framlingham is dominated by a Norman castle which was the seat of the Earls and Dukes of Norfolk.
The Mere alongside the castle is managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust and a circular footpath enables visitors to appreciate the abundance of wild flowers and wildlife. The Town Trail is a great way of finding out more about the town's history and interesting buildings.
The Market Hill contains a number of different period houses and the town has a selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes to suit a range of budgets and tastes.
In recent years, Country Life magazine has voted Framlingham the number one place to live in the country.
