Howard has decided to stand down. She will be missed and we thank her for
all her hard work over the years.
Official business over, we were delighted to welcome several visitors who
had joined us to hear Sarah Ridgard talk about her first novel "Seldom Seen".
Sarah spent 10 years growing up here in Worlingworth in the 80's and the
setting for her novel reflects this. Read it and see.
Our December meeting will consist of
a Christmas buffet with entertainment
and then, on Thursday 13th December
we are inviting the elderly and
housebound of the village to a soup
and mince pie lunch at the Community
Centre. If you know of anybody who
fits this description and who has not
received an invitation, please contact
one of us on the phone numbers at the
end of this article. Transport will be
provided if requested.
2013 will begin with an informal get-together on the afternoon of Thursday
17th January in the Community Centre. If you would like to find out more
about the WI and what it offers, this would be an ideal occasion on which to
do so. We would be delighted to see you.
In the meanwhile, any information is always available from Jenny on 628796
or Jane on 628446.
