Recycling facilities

Mid Suffolk and Babergh District Councils operate a shared waste collection scheme to enable a more cost-effective service.  The scheme is an alternate weekly collection service, collecting rubbish one week and recycling the next.  The majority of households are provided with two-wheeled bins, a green-lidded bin for reclycling and a black bin for rubbish.

However, the community centre benefits if you recycle your paper and glass using the bins provided at the Community Centre.

Household waste and recycling centres

Please be aware that the recycling centre at Brome is currently closed.

Alternative Household Waste Recycling Centres can be found by visiting the Green Suffolk web site, In the mean-time the public has been asked not to leave items in front of the closed gate as this would be considered fly-tipping which carries substantial penalties. Mid Suffolk District Council advises that there are a number of CCTV cameras operating in the area.
