I moved back to Suffolk, and in particular Worlingworth nearly 2 years ago having spent the previous 10 years in Kent, a move at that time from our earlier home just across the border in South Norfolk.
I am currently employed at Ipswich Borough Council as a Corporate Building Surveyor, and enjoy looking after their portfolio of buildings, however I do not classify myself as a “townie”. I like the tranquillity and sense of belonging that you get in a village.
I have been married to Anne for 23 years, and this is also a return to her roots, she spent her early years at Athelington Hall, just some 3 miles from our ‘now’ home.
We both love Suffolk and all that the village and the County offer
I hope that I can bring to the Parish Council, and the Village, some experience in maintaining the village way of life, but allowing for 21st Century ideas and technology to help maintain and enhance our lives and breath new life into the village rather than letting it wither on the vine as everybody relocates to towns for work, a balance that I hope and firmly believe is achievable.
